Andrewsarchus mongoliensis

Andrewsarchus was the largest meat-eating land mammal ever. It looked like a cross between a bear & a wolf, yet is more related to hoofed mammals and whales. It's habits would have most similar to grizzly bears, being solitary scavengers that lived along river banks and shorelines. It was proabaly omnivorus and ate mostly carrion, turtles, and if it could, larger prey, like bears do.
